(Have you already seen this post and want to go right to part two? Click here!)
I started the day off with Kate and her bridesmaids at her parent's house in Peterborough - Kate used a peacock theme for her colours - keep an eye out for the gorgeous peacock feather details on her dress later on!
Kate and her dad had a sweet moment when he saw her in the dress for the very first time - he had been very careful to avoid catching a glimpse of it during the entire lead up to the big day.
Meanwhile, Mark and the guys were getting ready at his family cottage. Everyone met early at Elmhirst to do photos before the ceremony. Kate and Mark had a first look where they got to check each other out in full wedding gear - love their reactions! First looks are such a great way to keep your wedding day flowing - because we did most of the pictures before the ceremony, Kate and Mark were able to spend far more time enjoying the reception with their guests. (Though I do admit to stealing them for 20 minutes closer to sunset to get some images with the extra pretty light!)
The ceremony had some beautiful and unique details - Kate and Mark stood under an arch made out of birch branches and their guests stood in a circle around them as they said their vows.
Guests were asked to pass their rings from person to person as the ceremony began, giving a blessing or a special wish to them before Kate and Mark put them on.
As guests headed to the reception area, we took a moment to catch a few shots of the details....
......and then headed right back outside to catch the action during the reception. So many smiles, so much laughter.
