Sam and Adam are Married! Part Two. {Heintzman House Wedding Photos, Thornhill Wedding Photographer}

Welcome to part two of Sam and Adam's wedding photo preview!  Click here to check out part one if you missed all the excitement.  When we last left you, the newly weds had just exited the ceremony.  The wedding fairies were switching over the room for the reception, the guests were happily mingling, and the party was about to get started.

In addition to the great colours, I loved the details on the reception tables.
Sam's stepdad designed and made the place card holders, which were also keychain favours for the guests to take home.

Adam proposed to Sam with a crossword, so it had to be worked into the wedding!
Guests were challenged to finish a crossword filled with trivia questions about the newlyweds. There was a prize involved those who finished the crossword, so some
people got very competitive.

As dinner wound down, guests were invited to take part in the dessert - candy bar AND a full assortment of amazing looking cupcakes.  Awesome.

As people enjoyed the desserts, there were some funny and touching speeches from the maid of honour and best man.

This was Adam's reaction after Sam announced that since he was not a huge fan of public speaking, she would do most of the talking while he performed interpretive mime.

Adam and Sam's niece was in charge of choosing a winner of the crossword competition.  She was a little hesitant to hand over her selection, but eventually she let Adam
get enough of a look to announce a winner.

After a beautiful first dance and a first attempt that was foiled by rain, all of the guests ventured out to get this group shot.  People had to move quickly once we started lighting sparklers, so a huge thank you to everyone from me for being such fabulous and fun wedding guests!  Don't tell guests from other weddings I've shot, but you were my favourite.

And then the dance floor opened.

I know I say it every post, but oh my goodness I love a dance floor full of people having a great time - so much fun to shoot!

And then, as the evening wound down to a close, there was a dance off.  A real, honest to goodness, get in the middle of circle and make your best move dance off.

Finally, ring shot.

Sam and Adam are Married! Part One. {Heintzman House Wedding Photos, Thornhill Wedding Photographer}

We spent a beautiful day with Sam and Adam at Heintzman House in Thornhill.  It was a rainy day, but no one was letting that get in the way of enjoying themselves.  (Besides, rain on your wedding day is good luck!)  When we arrived, friends and family were already hard at work setting up decorations and generally beautifying things.

Sam and her maid of honour arrived and headed up to the (beautiful!) bridal suite to get ready.  They spent a bit of time finishing off their speeches before getting dressed.

Meanwhile, Adam and his best man were busy tying ties and sorting out the correct blousing technique for pocket squares.

Adam and Sam decided to do photos before the ceremony so they would have more time with their guests during cocktail hour.  They planned a "first look" in the bridal suite so they could still have that special moment of seeing each other for the first time.

After some final perfecting touches from the best man, Adam headed in to see his bride.

And then it was time for some portraits!  The rain meant we had to be a bit creative with locations.  Fortunately, Heintzman House has lots of gorgeous indoor spaces and beautiful light to play with.

We were able to sneak outside for a few quick shots closer to the end of the day!

And then it was time for the ceremony.

I absolutely love the emotion that goes across a couple's faces during the
walk down the aisle.
