The first thing I noticed about Katy and Geoff's reception was colour. There were tulips everywhere, and beautiful bright tones caught my eye anywhere I looked. Perfect for a spring wedding on the Easter weekend.
As the ceremony was set to take place later in the evening, we started out taking family and wedding party portraits.
Guests began to arrive for the ceremony as we were shooting and there were many happy greetings going around.
Love this shot of Katy as she watches some of her friends and family arrive...
There were many adorable children involved, some of whom were quite happy to be in front of the camera...
...and some who had other places to be. :)
The ceremony was short, beautifully written and very heartfelt. I especially love the way Geoff looked at Katy throughout.
Lots of cheering for the first kiss!
Some members of the wedding party were less excited than others about wearing a tie.
The newlyweds enjoyed their first dance immediately after the ceremony. They chose "I wanna grow old with you" by Adam Sandler, and many of the guests sang along to the chorus as they danced.
We whisked Geoff and Katy away for a quick night time shoot to get a few portraits....
...and we came back in to a reception in full swing!
People were having lots of fun both on and off the dance floor....
And our time with them finished off with some heartfelt toasts.
Finally, a ring shot. Easter chick style.
Katy and Geoff - thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful day. We hope that your new beginning together is filled with many happily ever afters in the years to come.
