Robin and Joe were married on a beautiful day in July. It was also
possibly the hottest day this summer so far, but everyone involved was
a total trooper and completely into celebrating the day, hot or not!
We started off at Fandango Spa and Salon, where the girls were getting ready.
Robin wore a ring that originally belonged to her great grandmother.
These groomsmen took a break from their pre ceremony lunch
to help a flowergirl find an episode on Caillou. So cute.
Many of the men wore a Barong, which is a traditional Filipino dress shirt
often worn at weddings and other special events. I especially love the shot of
Joe's parents getting ready near a photo from their own wedding day.
The ceremony took place at St. Alphonsus church in Peterborough. Robin and Joe planned a Catholic ceremony with some traditional Filipino elements. I also loved that the service was officiated by both the priest at St. Alphonsus and Robin's longtime pastor. It was very unique and a lovely representation of both families. (Also love how happy they both look!)
I know. I need to enroll in some kind of a green door addict therapy program. It's just
that the light was so perfect, and the shade provided a much needed break from the
sun. I would like to say that Robin, Joe and the entire wedding party rocked the shoot
and were awesome to work with!
After photos, we headed to the Holiday Inn where the reception got underway.
After Dinner and some lovely speeches and toasts, the party got started on the dance floor.
During the parent dances, Robin and Joe had any father/daughter and mother/son pairs in attendance join them on the dance floor, which was a beautiful idea.
After that, the dancing got going in earnest. I always say that there is nothing I love
more than a full dance floor, and this crowd did not disappoint!
Ring shot. Delicious candy style.
Robin and Joe - thank you so much for allowing us to witness and be a part of your special day. We loved working with you and your family and friends!
